The National Committee for Water and Sewage (NCWS) has connected 20,867 residential units to the water supply grid; in addition to construction of a sewage facility servicing 18,112 residential units, reported Invest-Gate.

Current construction work is underway to connect additional 40,209 residential units to  reach a total of 75,563 residential units.

Sayed Ashry, Head of NCWS stated that infrastructure work has taken place in 12 governorates as the facilities were built to reach 3063 units in Salam area in Portsaid, 800 units in Ismalia, 2016 units in Suez, 982 units in Nuwebia, Dahab, Sharm El sheikh and South Sinai, 1512 units in Damietta, 864 units in Kafr el Sheikh, 2016 units in Wadi El Natron in Behira, aand 72 units in Monufeia.

He also added that construction of pipelines have been extended to 372 units in areas of El Salhya, El Tarmsa in Kena and 1000 units in areas of El Tod in Luxor.
