A total of 7,690 social housing units will be constructed in the governorate of Beheira in the Nile Delta, according to Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Mostafa Madbouly, Amwal Al Ghad reported.

These units come as part of a scheme for implementing several social housing projects in Beheira alongside other projects such as water, sewage, and enhancing slum areas at a cost of EGP 2.7 bn, stated Al Watan News

Further, in efforts to develop certain slum areas within the governorate, the government will develop a project in Kassara area in Rosetta (Rashid), including 120 residential units at a cost of EGP 21.31 mn, which will be finalized in June 2017, according to Madbouly.
