7th Arab Housing Conference Starts in Egypt for 3 Days

The 7th Arab Housing Conference kicks off on Sunday, December 18th, in Egypt, with the rubric “Towards Smart Sustainable Cities that Achieve Quality of Life”, Invest-Gate reports.

The event is hosted between 18 and 20 December on the sidelines of the 39th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Housing and Reconstruction (CAMHR).

Nafisa Hashem, First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities and Head of the Housing and Utilities Sector, states that the Arab Housing Conference discusses important various urban development and housing matters in the Arab world.

The event is attended by Arab housing minsters alongside 60 Arab experts and officials, Hashem adds.

She reveals that, during the event, 19 national papers of Arab countries are presented, in addition to 30 research papers presented by Egypt and 34 papers presented by other Arab countries.

The research papers cover four main aspects; smart cities, sustainable cities, quality of life, and international and regional experiments, Hashem notes.

She says that an exhibition is held on the sidelines of the conference with the participation from the Egyptian Cabinet Information Decision Support Center (IDSC) and Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, as well as public sector companies.
