Swiss-Swedish engineering giant ABB Group has relocated its Egypt-based branch to a new administrative headquarters in New Cairo, on 90th Street, on an area of 8,400 square meters, Invest-Gate reports.
“Designed as a smart and green building, ABB has utilized the latest digital technology from medium and low voltage panels, dry transformers, control panels for the operation of generators, air conditioning units, water pumps, and firefighting systems related to ABB’s Building Management System (BMS),” read a released statement on November 26.
Solar inverters units are also installed to ensure an uninterrupted power supply, “in addition, all lighting units in the building are energy-saving and are automatically controlled by ABB KNX systems.”
The green building fulfills all the needs of both workers and customers, from meeting rooms and lecture halls to a cafeteria and a gymnasium. Besides, it comprises halls dedicated to ABB University training courses that are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and digital equipment, in the wake of digital transformation and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
In its statement, the company confirmed that all employees will be transferred to the new headquarters before year-end.
