Abu Dhabi launches the world’s largest independent solar power plant at a total cost of USD 3.2 bn, WAM news website reports.

Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA) and a consortium of Japan’s Marubeni Corp and China’s JinkoSolar Holding signed a contract to build and operate the 1,177 megawatt solar photovoltaic (PV) plant.
