Abu Dhabi Sees 1.97 mn Hotel Guest Arrivals in 5 Months

Abu Dhabi records a rise by 4% year-on-year in hotel guest arrivals during the period from January to May 2017, Invest-Gate reports.

Hotel guest arrivals reached 1.97 mn during the five-month period, according to a statement by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi).

Domestic visitors reached more than 600,000 hotel guests across the Emirate’s 167 hotels and hotel apartments in Abu Dhabi, Al-Ain Region, and Al-Dhafra Region.

Internationally, China is the biggest source market with 160,902 hotel guests so far this year, followed by India with 136,000, the UK with 104,000, the US with more than 67,000 and Saudi Arabia with over 62,000 arrivals.
