Accor Reviews Fairmont Giza Progress, Praises Arabia Group’s Execution

Accor International for Hospitality conducted an inspection visit to the Fairmont Giza project in Sun Capital, 6th of October City, as part of its ongoing collaboration with Arabia Group, Invest-Gate reports. The annual visit aimed to assess construction progress and ensure the project aligns with Accor’s global hospitality standards.

The Accor delegation included Maarten van den Nieuwenhuijsen, Vice President of Openings and Guest quality; Sami Nasser, Global Chief Operating Officer; and Frank A. Naboulsi, Senior Vice President of Development for the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey. Arabia Group was represented by Ahmed Shoukry, Vice Chairman; Rabab Serry, Vice President and Board Member; and Amr Diab, Vice President of Technical Affairs.

During the visit, Accor’s management expressed satisfaction with the rapid pace of construction and the high standards maintained by Arabia Group. They highlighted the project’s adherence to international quality benchmarks and efficient project management. The second floor has been completed, and construction of the third floor is now underway. The structure will include a ground floor and 16 additional floors, with concrete work set to be finalized by the end of the year. The full structural framework is expected to be completed by the end of next year, with the hotel’s grand opening scheduled for 2028.

Amr Diab, Vice Chairman of Arabia Group, stated, “We are proud of the significant progress achieved in this project. Our commitment to delivering high-quality developments aligns with Egypt’s vision for enhancing tourism around the Pyramids. The Fairmont Giza hotel and residences will serve as a landmark in Egypt’s hospitality sector, reinforcing the country’s position as a global tourist destination.”

Sun Capital, the integrated residential and tourism city housing the Fairmont Giza project, spans 575 feddans. The development allocates 60% of its space to residential areas covering 2.4 million square meters, while mixed-use facilities occupy the remaining 1.8 million square meters. The project is set to create 20,000 direct and indirect job opportunities and will include 15,000 non-hotel residential and administrative units.

Fairmont Giza, one of Egypt’s largest hospitality projects, covers 240,000 square meters. It will feature 500 hotel rooms, 600 branded residences, and 25,000 square meters of office space. Managed under the global Fairmont brand, the project is set to redefine luxury hospitality in the Egyptian market.
