Action Hotels plans on opening a Novotel-branded hotel, to offer an economic solution to travelers staying in Dubai Healthcare City, Proactive Investors reported.

The hotel will target medical tourists and business seekers providing an economy to mid-scale accommodation. The hotel will be called Novotel Dubai Creek.

“Creek Park and the wider Dubai Healthcare City are emerging as important destinations for leisure, medical tourism and business travel,” AccorHotels Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, Olivier Granet said.

Reportedly, Action has acquired the hotel’s site by joining forces with Sheikh Mubarak A M Al Sabah, who is a shareholder in Action, Hotelier Middle East reported.

The estimated cost of the hotel amounts to AED 206 million ($ 56 million). Construction work is due to begin this 3rd quarter of the year, while the opening will be in 2018.
