ACUD Completes 90% of Water Infrastructure in NAC Phase I

The Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) has managed to develop 90% of water infrastructure in the first phase of the New Administrative Capital (NAC), Invest-Gate reports.

ACUD Spokesperson Khaled El Hosseini told Invest-Gate that the company plans to fully complete the infrastructure of the first phase before 2020. The company has made great progress with regard to infrastructure works and utilities in NAC’s first phase, noting that the infrastructure cost reached about EGP 140 bn up to date, he highlihgted.

El Hosseini elaborated that there are two water plants to supply the residents of the new city’s first phase, the first of which already exists with a capacity of 125,000 cubic meters of water per day, in addition to a water pumping station that is being established with the same capacity.

The spokesperson further added that the development of sanitation services, divided into three phases, is in progress as per the schedule.

“A power plant is being implemented by Siemens with a capacity of 4,800 megawatts, while another three lower-voltage plants are under development,” he said.
