ACUD Partners with Egyptian African Cardiology Association for ‘Sportivia’ Awareness Campaign

The Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD), in collaboration with the Egyptian African Cardiology Association and Mount International School, launched the “Sportivia” campaign—a medical and sports awareness initiative focused on heart health for athletes and CPR techniques, Invest-Gate reports.

Eng. Khaled Abbas, Chairman and Managing Director of ACUD, emphasized the campaign’s importance, noting that it addresses a critical issue following the tragic incidents of sudden cardiac deaths among athletes during matches. “Sportivia is a vital awareness campaign aimed at saving lives and promoting heart health,” Abbas stated.

Also, Abbas expressed pride in the New Administrative Capital’s growing reputation as a hub for significant local and international events, attributing its success to its advanced smart and sustainable infrastructure.

Moreover, the campaign coincides with World Heart Day, which will occur September 28-29, 2024. The event will kick off with a marathon on Saturday and activities at Mount International School on Sunday.

Furthermore, the program includes medical check-ups for athletes, sports competitions in swimming and squash, CPR training, and educational lectures on heart health and medical rehabilitation. Additionally, several sports champions will be honored during the event.

Notably, to mark the occasion, the Iconic Tower in the New Administrative Capital will be illuminated in red with the World Heart Day logo.
