The Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) has clinched four international awards, two gold and two silver, from the Livcom Awards Foundation for Smart, Sustainable, and Livable Communities in 2024, Invest-Gate reports.
ACUD secured the gold accolade for the best integrated city with its involvement in the project titled “The New Administrative Capital, a Smart, Green, Sustainable City.” It also received the gold award for excellence in the category of best sustainable planning and management methods.
Additionally, ACUD earned the silver award for the top project with its contribution to “The Government District in the New Administrative Capital, a Smart, Green, Sustainable Project,” and another silver award for the best project employing modern technological solutions in the project titled “Smart and Sustainable Technologies in the New Administrative Capital.”
Eng. Khaled Abbas, Chairman and Managing Director of ACUD, expressed his elation at the company’s success in securing these awards. He credited the dedicated workforce behind this national project for their pivotal role in achieving the project’s goals.
Abbas highlighted that ACUD was selected for consideration in these esteemed awards from a distinguished cohort of the largest real estate development companies globally, as 33 cities worldwide vied, submitting 169 diverse projects to vie for these honors.
Furthermore, Abbas elaborated that the foundation bestows its awards based on various criteria, encompassing the quality and organization of public spaces and scenic landscapes, the management of arts, culture, and local heritage, environmental conservation, the implementation of sustainable economic systems, the utilization of sustainable administrative and planning strategies, and other criteria that ACUD is committed to integrating into the New Administrative Capital.
He emphasized ACUD’s commitment to promoting sustainable development and distinctive urban planning in the New Administrative Capital and all its undertakings, in collaboration with all stakeholders. This inclusive approach is recognized as fundamental in achieving comprehensive and equitable development.
