The Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Moustafa Madbouly, and the Minister of Transportation, Jalal Saeed have met to discuss a scheme to connect the new administrative capital with the railway network, as well as add an extension to the Asher-Bilbeis monorail to the capital’s transportation network, reported Invest Gate.
“The scheme to link the new administrative capital to the railway, comes in the light of the efforts of the ministries of housing and transport to speed up the development of new cities and urban communities north of Greater Cairo region, and to facilitate transports, which includes the cities: New Cairo, Shorouk, 10th of Ramadan, and the new administrative capital,” stated Madbouly.
The meeting focused on proposed paths for railways, linking the administrative capital with a railway network, implementation phases, and initial forecast of the cost.
