The Africa-Singapore Business Forum started on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, focusing on fostering cooperation and knowledge exchange among participants from different fields and to strengthen economic ties between Africa and Singapore, Invest-Gate reports.

The forum witnessed the participation of GV Investments, the only Egyptian company participating in the event, representing Egypt among the prominent attendees. Additionally, the General Authority for Construction and Housing Cooperatives (CHC – Egypt), is represented by its Chairman and Tarboul City Project Principal, Waleed Albaroudy.

Albaroudy is heading the delegation of Tarboul, the iconic project of GV Investments and the largest investment zone in the Middle East. Waleed highlighted the CHC’s dedication to developing Tarboul and forming partnerships to bolster Egypt’s industrial sector.

Waleed acknowledged the strategic collaborations with esteemed partners such as EGIS, Orange, CeEntek, Eurocert, Lockton, Voltere, Amarenco Solarize, H2 Global Energy, Gord, and more.

The Africa-Singaporean Business Forum, themed “Driving Africa’s Growth through Digitization, Manufacturing, and Sustainability” in its current edition, aims to leverage the opportunities arising from Africa’s digital leap, sustainable development practices, and the facilitation of manufacturing through the African Continental Free Trade Area agreement.

Notably, Egypt’s participation in the forum demonstrates the country’s commitment to supporting manufacturing, digital transformation, sustainable practices, and their positive impact on citizens’ quality of life, as well as fostering regional partnerships.
