Ahmed Shalaby: Tatweer Misr’s Integrated Coastal Destinations Model Is Shaping the Future of Real Estate

During his interview with TV host Amr Adeeb on El Hekaya, Dr. Ahmed Shalaby, Co-founder, President & CEO of Tatweer Misr, highlighted the growing shift toward integrated coastal destinations in Egypt, emphasizing that the future of real estate extends beyond residential units to creating year-round destinations that seamlessly integrate living, hospitality, entertainment, tourism, and services.

Integrated Destinations Are Redefining Egypt’s Real Estate Sector

Shalaby noted that this approach has been central to Tatweer Misr’s strategy since its inception 12 years ago. Today, the company’s portfolio includes six projects across four strategic destinations, with investments exceeding EGP 260 billion, more than 34,000 residential and hospitality units, and over 19,600 families residing within its communities.

He added that the strategy has consistently delivered strong market performance, citing IL Monte Galala Marina Towers, which generated more than EGP 38 billion in sales within five days of launching its first phase.

Salt Marina Advances Sustainable Coastal Development

Building on this success, Shalaby highlighted the launch of Salt Marina as the latest milestone in Tatweer Misr’s integrated coastal destinations model.

He noted that the project is designed to strengthen Egypt’s position as a regional hub for yacht tourism, unlock new opportunities within the blue economy, and create a vibrant, year-round waterfront destination that seamlessly integrates hospitality, leisure, retail, marine experiences, and waterfront living.

He added that through projects like Salt Marina, Tatweer Misr is redefining coastal development by creating destinations that generate sustainable economic value, enhance Egypt’s tourism competitiveness, support the country’s blue economy strategy, and contribute to Egypt’s long-term development vision.
