Under the auspices of Egypt’s Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, the third Al-Ahram Real Estate Conference kicks off in Cairo on Tuesday, Invest-Gate reports.
The conference brings together a diverse group of government officials, financial institutions, banks, and real estate developers to discuss the challenges facing the real estate sector and to develop innovative solutions to support its growth.
The real estate industry contributes more than 20% of the country’s gross national product. It is linked to around 100 industries and provides more than 5 mn direct and indirect job opportunities.
The conference is divided into three main sessions, with the first focusing on the challenges faced by the sector and the development of radical solutions to overcome them.
The second session will address the importance of real estate financing and the role of banks in supporting the sector, while the third session will examine market regulation and digital transformation and their impact on achieving sustainability in the sector.
Prominent figures in the sector will participate in the conference, including Ahmed Shalaby, Chairman of the Egyptian Real Estate Council; Fathallah Fawzy, Chairman of the Construction Committee Egyptian Businessmen’s Association (EBA), and Tarek Shoukry, Head of the Real Estate Development Chamber at the Federation of Egyptian Industries, and Undersecretary of the housing committee at the House of Representatives.
