Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate (AFGRE) announces initiative to bear the costs of cataract surgeries for 300 patients in cooperation with Baseera Foundation for People with Visual Impairment, Invest-Gate reports.

The covered patients are selected based on surveys undertaken by medical convoys in poor villages of Aswan Governorate.

“We highly value our collaboration with Baseera Foundation to help protect and empower people with visual impairment, thanks to the foundation’s extensive experience in carrying out medical surveys and providing all required services with high quality,” Managing Director of Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate, Ashraf Ezz El Din, says.

“Our participation contributes to the treatment of underprivileged patients, in order to help them feel inclusive and integrated within society. This confirms our robust strategy and keenness in fulfilling our role towards social responsibility, especially that healthcare and education are closely related to the prosperity of people,” Ezz El Din notes.

Baseera’s medical team examined more than 100,000 people and conducted over 6,000 surgeries in poor villages in Cairo, Beni Suef, Sohag, Luxor, Aswan, as well as other governorates.
