Assem Al-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, follows up on ongoing infrastructure projects in the New 6th of October City, with an estimated cost of more than EGP 7 bn in the various districts of the city, Invest-Gate reports.
Al-Gazzar stresses the need to implement all works with the required specifications and quality and as soon as possible.
Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud, The Head of the New 6th of October Development Authority, notes that the industrial area’s electricity substation is under construction with a voltage of (220/22/22 kV), a capacity of (3 * 125 MVA), and a total estimated value of EGP 768 mn.
For his part, Ayman Rashed, Vice President of the New 6th of October Utilities Authority, adds that the power plant project serves the 10,000-feddan industrial zone in the city, the dry port, and the Housing for All Egyptians project.
Rashed reveals that the utility networks of the first phase of the Housing for All Egyptians project are completed, which serve 8,136 housing units.
