Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting with Alshaya Group’s Executive Chairman Mohammed Abdul Aziz Alshaya to discuss further investment opportunities in Egypt, Invest-Gate reports.
Alshaya revealed that his group is willing to open a new mall in Egypt called “Avenues Mall,” highlighting the importance of facilitating the procedures for building malls and importing some goods.
Madbouly said in a statement, “There is no problem with providing the necessary lands for implementing malls or hotels, and we have ready lands in the new cities,” adding that the government has become experienced in partnering with the private sector and is ready for co-developing new projects with Alshaya.
“The government is currently keen on supporting foreign investors in Egypt by erasing any obstacles,” Madbouly added.
Alshaya Group operates around 100 global retail brands and owns stores in 22 countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, North Africa, Russia, Turkey, and Europe.
