President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi has visited a number of under-construction projects in Galala Mountain in the northeastern governorate of Suez, Invest-Gate reports.
El-Sisi inspected the giant hydroelectric desalination plant, with a capacity of 15,000 cubic meters a day, and the King Abdullah Bin Abdelaziz University, according to a statement by the presidency’s spokesman Bassam Radi.
The president has also visited the city’s water park and marina, as well as the phosphate and marble plants.
El-Sisi has praised the efforts made by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority (AFEA) in implementing the project and he also said that what is happening now in terms of applying the international standards and delivering the project on time will reflect positively on the investment cycle in Egypt.
Launched in December 2015, over 100 local Egyptian companies are assigned to work on the Galala Mountain project, according to a statement by El-Sisi’s office.
