French hotel operator, Accor Hotels, signed a management agreement with Qatar’s AlBaker Investments, a development company, to develop Qatar’s first Sofitel hotel in Doha, according to a press release from Wednesday.

The property will be located in Doha’s West Bay, in front of City Center Doha Mall, and will provide 420 rooms. It is scheduled to open in 2019, offering a number of amenities such as restaurants, lounge concepts and a rooftop bar; in addition to swimming pools and a Spa.

AccorHotels already has two properties in Qatar and another six under construction. It will however be the first property under AccorHotels’ luxury Sofitel brand.
