Aldar Properties, an Abu Dhabi developer, confirmed on Wednesday that tendering for its Yas Acres project is now underway, according to a press release by the company.
It is expected that the early works package tender will be awarded at the end of the year, while the main contractor will be appointed by mid-2017.
Yas Acres is Aldar Properties’ largest project to date, spanning an area of over 800,000 square meters. At a cost of AED 6 billion and scheduled to be home to 15,000 residents, it will add more than 1,300 villas, a golf course, and several other amneties to Yas Island.
Aldar also stated that there has been progress in other projects, include other projects on Yas Island, like Ansam, an Andalusian-style apartment development.
