Aldar Properties plans to develop a sustainable city in Abu Dhabi including residential units in 10 clusters, Invest-Gate reports.
The new project, The Sustainable City – Yas Island, will have units with prices starting from AED 892,000.
The first phase of the mega city comprises 272 condominiums and 240 townhouses. It will be offered for sale on January 19th.
The Sustainable City – Yas Island is set to be powered by clean renewable energy and equipped with biodomes, solar panels, and battery-charged communal vehicles.
It will feature open green spaces, walkways, community farming plots, and recycling facilities.
“[The Sustainable City – Yas Island] is a landmark project for Aldar, reflecting our commitment to provide an increasing range of curated living experiences that our local and overseas customers tell us they want to live and invest in,” CEO at Aldar Development, Jonathan Emery, says.
