Almasa Hotel Opens in New Administrative Capital October 6

The New Administrative Capital saw the grand opening of its first hotel on October 6, Invest-Gate reports.

Almasa Capital Hotel comprises the largest convention center in the Middle East and Africa, according to their official Facebook page, with a total conference space of 42,000 square meter including four ballrooms, 12 meeting rooms, and six VIP lounges.

The hotel also features an entertainment center, Capital Plaza, which comprises a mix of luxury boutiques, an authentic “Al-Khan” souk, cinema complex, a mosque, international restaurants and corporate banks.

The hotel’s Almasa Royal Palace building features 270 rooms and 90 suites.

The opening saw the attendance of a number of officials including Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr, as well as a number of performances by Egyptian and Arab artists such as Nancy Ajram, Tamer Hosny, and Hussain Aljassmi.

Egypt’s ministries and governmental entities are scheduled to relocate to the new administrative capital, east of Cairo.

The capital will also comprise housing units, the world’s biggest park as well as Egypt’s biggest church and mosque.
