Amani Abou-Zeid was elected as Infrastructure and Energy Commissioner among eight other commissioners at the African Union (AU) on January 30, MENA reports.

Abou-Zeid currently serves as Director of the African Development Bank, with more than 30 years of experience in international social and economic development with a of focus on international development organisations. Her professional experience encompasses that in Africa, France, UK and Canada.
