Amer Group to Open Porto Said’s Hotel in Q1 2019

Egypt’s property developer Amer Group Holding announced on February 14 that it plans to open a 5-star hotel, as part of its mixed-use development project, Porto Said, during the first quarter of 2019, Invest-Gate reports.

The announcement came during a meeting with Chairman of Amer Group Mansour Amer and the board members to follow-up on the company’s ongoing projects and sales, according to a recent bourse filing.

Back in April, Amer has uncovered the signing of a contract with Major General Adel Al Ghadban, governor of Port Said, to establish a 90-acre integrated touristic project in Western Port Said, with an initial investment of EGP 3 bn, pursuant to a previously released statement.

Offering exceptional touristic and entertainment services, the project is aimed at developing Port Said city, raising its accommodation capacity, serving investors, and providing 6,000 job opportunities to the city’s locals, as well as, the surrounding areas, in addition to offering 4 mn jobs during Porto Said’s construction.

Besides the 5-star hotel, Porto Said will encompass hotel apartments, a school, a sports club, a small hospital, a commercial mall, and various restaurants.
