Arab Contractors, an Egypt-based construction company, won the tender put forth by Sadat City Authority to expand the regional road and build 2 bridges at a cost of EGP 100 million, Al Borsa News reported.
The project includes expansion of the regional road connecting between Sadat City and Kafr Dawood in Monofeya Governorate, said Mohamed Ashour, Chairperson of Sadat City Authority.
Road expansion includes adding two new lanes and widening the existing ones, in addition to building two bridges for congested routes, added Ashour.
The project will be implemented in coordination with the Roads and Bridges Authority, and funded by the Sadat City Authority through the budget of 2016 and 2017.
The cost of implementing the two projects amounts to EGP 30 million, and will take eight months to complete once started.
