Arab Contractors Company, an Egypt-based construction company,  commenced development work on Beir (well) Massoud rocky beach in Miami District in eastern Alexandria, reported Al Borsa News.

The company began to implement the maintenance and development of Beir Massoud rocky beach, along with cleaning the well and channel that links the sea to return it to its previous status as a destination for Alexandrians and visitors, said Governor of Alexandria Mohamed Abd Alzaher.

The renovation project is implemented under  the supervision of the North Coast Authority for Development and Reconstruction.

The total cost of the renovation project will amount to EGP 1 million, said Abd Alzaher.

A well three meters in width and five in depth, Beir Massoud has long been considered a touristic attraction for Alexandrians and tourists. Visitors often frequent it and use it as a wishing well.
