Arab Contractors Eyes EGP 400 mn Profits by Year-End

Arab Contractors, an Egyptian construction and contracting company, eyes to achieve profits of EGP 400 mn by the end of 2018, with investments worth EGP 20 bn in projects across Arab and African countries, state-owned Al Ahram Al Iktisadi news website reports.

The company is currently competing to implement a number of infrastructure projects such as drinking water and sewage stations, and road projects in Mauritania, Côte d’Ivoire, and Uganda, Arab Contractors Chairman Mohsen Salah told Al Ahram on September 30.

Arab Contractors has won a mandate to implement a 42-kilometer road project estimated at USD 54 mn in Uganda, with the renewal and development process to be executed within 24 months, the firm earlier announced in a statement.

Salah revealed earlier “Arab Contractors is executing many infrastructure projects in Uganda; the prominent one is the development and modernization of the Dirt Road with a length of 67 kilometers, and 200 kilometers away from Kampala,” adding that the company is handling “another road project with a length of 44 kilometers in addition to the drainage and industrial works along the road with a total cost of USD 133 mn.”
