Arabia Holding Brings Roland-Garros Club to Sun Capital

Chairman of Arab Holding Tarek Shokry signed a participation contract for the establishment of Roland-Garros tennis club and academy in Sun Capital development project, with investments worth EGP 2 bn, Invest-Gate reports.

Spanning across 575 acres, Sun Capital is being developed by Arabia Holding in partnership with the Ministry of Housing.

The contract was signed with Nicholas Doris, CEO of East Med Egypt, representing Roland Garros Egypt, in the attendance of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Housing Assem El Gazzar, Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy, and Deputy Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities for National Projects Khaled Abbas.

Shokry said that Roland Garros Egypt is the embodiment of the successful partnership between the state and the private sector, contributing to attracting hard currency and creating thousands of job opportunities.

For the sports compoenent, the Sun Capital project comprises a tennis academy, a major tennis court, 24 secondary courts, a sports complex, an international sports school, a health club, a medical center, a hotel, a media center, and a sports and social center.

Additionally, the compound will include international schools, universities, retail areas, an open park, and a luxurious clubhouse overlooking stunning greenery.

Sun Capital compound is located in 6th of October City, overlooking the Pyramids of Egypt. Located five minutes away from the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) and 15 minutes away from Mall Of Egypt, the compound comprises a wide range of studios, apartments, duplexes, twin houses and stand alone villas for sale. Of the total 556 acres of Sun Capital, 60% will be residential areas and 40% will be commercial areas.
