Arabtec Holding on Tuesday announced it has appointed Hamish Tyrwhitt, former Leighton Holdings Chief, as the group’s CEO, according to a press release.

The company’s board approved Tyrwhitt’s appointment, taking effect from November 28. He will retain his position as CEO of Depa Group which he assumed in April 2016.

Arabtec is currently undergoing restructuring efforts and cost reduction initiatives while still generating healthy revenues and net profits over the first nine months of 2016.

Outgoing Arabtec CEO Saeed Al Mehairbi will continue to serve the company as Director of the Board.
