Arabtec to Build EGP 1.60 bn Residences at Emaar Misr’s Marassi

Emaar Misr for Development, Cairo-based unit of UAE’s Emaar Properties, has awarded an AED 366 mn (EGP 1.61 bn) contract to Arabtec Construction to build the first of Marassi‘s six phases in the Greek Village on the North Coast, Invest-Gate reports.

Under the 36-month agreement, Arabtec Holding’s construction arm will execute 42 townhouses, 18 residential buildings, and seven bungalows, along with supporting infrastructure and landscaping, according to the company’s recent press release.

Nestled on a hilltop with panoramic views, units at the Greek Village are “characterized by ornamental white and blue domes that complement the design and represent the essence of Santorini through its architecture,” thereby providing an international Mediterranean-themed leisure destination on the Emaar Misr’s flagship project.

On-site amenities include a community center, a beach clubhouse, eateries, swimming pools, in addition to golf academy and course, among other world-class services.

Arabtec Holding’s CEO Peter Pollard lauded the latest contract and emphasized, “We are excited to be working on the Greek Village and building on our relationship with Emaar Misr, which is consistent with our strategy to selectively build a solid pipeline regionally with longstanding, quality clients.”

Last August, Emaar Misr inked an EGP 1.85 bn deal with Dubai-based Arabtec Construction to establish two urban projects in Uptown Cairo, the former’s integrated gated compound perched atop Mokattam Hills, the company announced in a previous statement.
