Assem El-Gazzar was appointed as the Deputy Housing Minister on January 14, Invest-Gate reports.

El-Gazzar currently serves as chairman of the General Organization of Physical Planning under the Ministry of Housing.

This move comes as part of a limited cabinet reshuffle that witnessed the appointment of four new ministers and two deputy ministers.

The current Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Development Mostafa Madbouly is also serving as an acting prime minister as PM Sherif Ismail is currently in recovery from a surgical operation.
