A new waterfront project by Bahrain Bay Development aims to bring more life to the development that so far has been dominated by hotels and office buildings, reported Gulf Daily News.
The project is part of a 3.5 kilometer boulevard around Bahrain Bay, shopping hubs and Bahrain Financial Harbour and is supposed to “change the face of Bahrain Bay and give it a public face,” according Bahrain Bay Development’s CEO, Gagan Suri.
He pointed to a lack of life in the business-heavy development and announced that this would change with the new waterfront boulevard.
Suri also stated that the project was inspired by similar “waterfront areas in Sydney, Vancouver, Washington, DC, [and] a couple of unique concepts in Dubai and Beirut.”
