Belarusian PM Explores Egypt’s New Administrative Capital During Inaugural Visit

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El-Gazzar has stated that the New Administrative Capital (NAC) hosted the Prime Minister of Belarus, Roman Golovchenko, on his first official visit to Egypt, Invest-Gate reports.

Prime Minister Golovchenko led a high-level delegation, which included the Minister of Anti-Monopoly Regulation and Trade, government officials, and a delegation of businessmen representing various economic sectors of Belarus, demonstrating the breadth of interest in the visit.

Moreover, the visit, attended by Ahmed Samir, the Minister of Trade and Industry, as the head of the honorary mission, and the Belarusian Ambassador to Egypt, Sergi Terentiev, aimed to familiarize the delegation with the city and inspect its landmarks.

El-Gazzar emphasized that the visit is part of an expanding cooperation between Egypt and Belarus in all fields, particularly the industry and real estate sectors.

Also, El-Gazzar stressed the importance of increasing foreign investments in the real estate sector and showcasing available investment opportunities.

Sherif El-Sherbiny, Head of the New Administrative Capital City Development Authority, welcomed the delegation and began the meeting by welcoming the guests. Then, a tour began to explore the key features of the NAC, starting with the Central Business District (CBD).

Furthermore, El-Sherbiny explained that the CBD comprises 20 diverse towers, including administrative and residential towers, as well as hotel and commercial activities. During the tour, the delegation ascended to the seventy-fourth floor of the iconic tower to observe the city’s landmarks from above. This was followed by a comprehensive explanation of the towers and other city landmarks. The delegation’s inquiries were addressed throughout the tour.

At the tour’s conclusion, the Belarusian delegation expressed great admiration for the developments in the NAC. Golovchenko extended his gratitude to Samir, El-Sherbiny, and the officials of the Capital Authority for organizing the visit and their efforts.
