Beltone Holding Leads EGX Trading with EGP 1.4 bn in Weekly Turnover

Beltone Holding topped the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) last week as the most actively traded stock in terms of value within the “on-screen market,” Invest-Gate reports the bourse’s weekly report.

The stock recorded a trading volume of 402.5 mn shares and a turnover of EGP 1.4 bn.

EFG Holding followed in second place with a trading volume of 47.1 mn shares and a turnover of EGP 1.3 bn, while Palm Hills Developments came third, with 104.6 mn shares exchanged at a value of EGP 889.9 mn.

Orascom Investment Holding ranked fourth with 829.8 mn shares traded for EGP 800.8 mn, followed by Talaat Moustafa Group Holding with 14.6 mn shares valued at EGP 789.7 mn.

Commercial International Bank (CIB) placed sixth, recording a turnover of EGP 737 mn from 9 mn shares. Orascom Construction PLC followed with 2.1 mn shares traded for EGP 628.8 mn.

Raya Holding came in eighth with 204.5 mn shares and a value of EGP 575.9 mn, trailed by Misr National Steel – Ataqa with 57 mn shares traded at EGP 561.2 mn. Orascom Financial Holding closed the top ten, with 1.1 bn shares changing hands for EGP 560.5 mn.

On the index level, the EGX30 surged by 9.11% to close at 33,002.85 points. EGX70 rose by 0.75%, EGX100 climbed 0.47%, EGX30 Capped Index gained 9.49%, and the SME-focused TAMAYOUZ Index advanced by 7.90%.
