The Big 5 Egypt Impact Awards launches to celebrate architectural, engineering and construction businesses’ contribution to sector’s growth as it remained a top performer in the MENA region despite the COVID-19 impact with USD 15bn worth of contracts awarded in 2020, Invest-Gate reports.
DMG events announces the launch of The Big 5 Egypt Impact Awards, set to open in-person on June 27 2021 at the Cairo International Convention Center alongside The Big 5 Construct Egypt event.
At its inaugural ceremony, The Big 5 Egypt Impact Awards will honor people, organizations, and projects that are driving sustainable development, innovation, and transformation in Egypt’s booming construction industry.
Vice President at dmg events Muhammed Kazi comments, “I am delighted to report that in its first edition, The Big 5 Egypt Impact Awards has received entries from over 50 leading architectural, engineering and construction businesses, operating across Egypt.”
Across 19 categories, the awards will explore Egypt’s most outstanding construction projects and leaders. In addition, they will celebrate young construction professionals in the sector, and feats of inclusion and diversity, innovation and health and safety.
Entries will be examined against individual category criteria by an independent and international panel comprising of 16 industry experts.

Winners of The Big 5 Egypt Impact Awards will be announced during a live ceremony on Sunday June 27, 2021 at the Cairo International Convention Center (CICC). The Big 5 Egypt Impact Awards are organised by dmg events, and sponsored by Hassan Allam Holding, the Arab Contractors Company and Siemens Egypt.
