Construction of bridges in Dubai’s Bluewaters Island is 85% complete, and is due to be fully completed by December, according to Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), reported Trade Arabia.
The project is located opposite to Jumeirah Beach Residences (JBR) and is handled by RTA, in conjunction and Meraas Holding Group, at a cost of AED 475 million.
The project includes the construction of bridges that will lead to Bluewaters Island, linking it with the JBR Interchange 5.5 on the Sheikh Zayed Road, said Mattar Al Tayer, the Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors at RTA.
The bridges will provide access to the island, which consists of a 1,400-meter main bridge, he added.
The bridges are expected to be provide smooth access from the island to Dubai and Abu Dhabi through the Sheikh Zayed Road.
