Cairo Design Week (CDW) is launched in the Baron Empain Palace between November 19th and 25th, Invest-Gate reports.
The CDW showcases the area’s architectural heritage by hosting a plethora of activations, exhibitions, panel discussions, and industry-focused events featuring local and regional designers.
The event represents a destination for the design community to interact, network, and share insights.
Hisham Mahdy, President of CDW, comments: “With the aim of declaring Egypt as a hub for the design of all forms, the first edition of CDW comes with a wave of leading figures and global influencers who have a proven track record as beacons across different fields of the industry.”
Among the locations participating in the CDW are Ghernata Palace, Villa Magenta, and Al Cayan Building.
Baron Empain Palace hosts workshops by Cairo Designathon, screenings introduced by Film My Design, and talks by DeForm.
Meanwhile, Al Cayan Building features interactive experiences including Hekayet Elakat, an experience by leading design group TDF+ and Baky Hospitality showcasing pieces depicting the brands’ values.
