Cairo To Launch New Factories in Port Said Industrial Complex

The government will launch new factories at the industrial complex in Port Said city, northeast of Egypt, state-owned Al Ahram reports.

The factories will cover the industries of engineering, food, chemicals, textile and ready-made clothing, according to Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Qabil.

“The complex includes a number of new factories, spanning an area of up to 840 square meters,” he adds. The complex is one of three industrial complexes in Egypt hosting 500 factories for small- and medium-sized enterprises.

Two other industrial complexes have previously been implemented in Sadat City and Badr City to push forward industrial development, stimulate economic growth, and create job opportunities for young people.
