Cairo University will renovate three slum areas in the Giza governorate in an effort to support residents in these areas and offer public services as per the approval of University Dean Gaber Nassar, Invest-Gate reports.
The areas expected to be developed in the upcoming period through the university’s contribution include areas of Azbet Kemesha, Boulak Dakrour, and Ezbet Awlad Allam in Dokki district, Giza Governor Mohamed El Daly said in a released statement.
A protocol has been previously signed between Slum Development Fund and the Engineering syndicate aiming to coordinate with Egyptian universities to enhance and develop slum areas in Cairo and Giza. The fund will be allocating a budget of EGP 3 bn to develop a total of 160 slum areas across both governorates.
