Central Agency for Reconstruction Completes 118 Projects in Gharbia

Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities stated that the Central Agency for Reconstruction (CAR) has implemented 118 projects in the Zefta Center in Gharbia Governorate within the phase projects under the Hayah Kareema initiative, Invest-Gate reports.

The House minister indicated that the ministry undertakes the implementation of targeted projects in 25 cities in 10 governorates, including 741 villages and their neighborhoods, as part of the first phase of the presidential initiative to develop the Egyptian countryside.

For his part, Mahmoud Nassar, Head of the CAR, said the projects that are planned and are currently being implemented in the Zefta Center, under the initiative, include the development and strengthening of electricity networks and public lighting in 54 villages, to improve services provided to citizens.

Coordination has been made with the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy to determine the required electricity works in the villages, including the rehabilitation of existing medium-voltage networks, Nasser added.

CAR’s head stated that the electrical works that have been done and are being implemented include the supply and installation of 19 ring-link panels, 99 medium-voltage air knives, 174 medium-voltage poles, 56 tons of medium-voltage conductors, and 34 transformers of different capacities
That the implementation of eight service complexes for citizens has been completed, out of a total of nine complexes, which are implemented at the level of local units, and provide seven services to citizens, Nasser revealed.
