CEO of major US companies are scouting investment opportunities in Egypt amid the reportedly improving business climate, Invest-Gate reports.

In a meeting with Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr, the CEOs asserts their interest in increasing their investments in the country. The CEOs also discussed the challenges facing US investors in Egypt.

Nasr also held talks with members of the US-Egyptian Business Council, discussing bilateral ties with the US. In her talks with the US officials, the minister says that it is fundamental to boost investments between the two countries as well as carry out joint developmental projects.

She adds that bilateral cooperation needs to address the basic needs of Egyptian citizens and be in the light of the priorities included in Egypt’s economic reform program.

The Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation, Nasr says, “is now working on preparing a map of investment opportunities in collaboration with various ministries and government agencies.”
