Kuwait Health Assurance Company (KHAC) signed a KD 162 mn deal with China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC) over the construction of two hospitals, reported Arabian Business on Tuesday.
The hospitals will have a 600-bed capacity and will provide health care services to insurance-paying expatriates, which constitutes the majority of Kuwait’s population.
MCC will design, build, equip, and maintain the hospitals, which are scheduled to open by the end of 2019.
KHAC is a company set up in 2014 by the Kuwaiti government in partnership with the private sector to provide healthcare to expatriates.
