The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Development permits applicants of its eighth offering of social housing units located in Giza, Qaliubya, Alexandria, and Sharqiya, transfers to new cities within their governorates starting today and until February 15, according to Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Development Mostafa Madbouly, Invest-Gate reports.

Applicants should submit updated personal documents at the city’s Authority. In the case of an exceeding number of applications, the selection prioritizes families, married citizens, followed by single citizens.

Citizens residing in Giza may transfer to 6th of October City, residents in Qaliubya may transfer to Obour City, residents in Alexandria may transfer to Borg El Arab City, and residents in Sharqiya may transfer to 10th of Ramadan City, Madbouly added.

The new cities in the above mentioned governorates have witnessed a high turnout, despite the land shortages, given the high demand from the lower-income segment.
