City Edge Developments is gearing up to launch the second edition of CED Sportival 2026, taking place on August 21–22 at Blu Beach in New Alamein City. Held in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the second consecutive year, the event will host The Clash Beach Volleyball Championship, Invest-Gate reports.
This initiative reflects City Edge’s strategy to promote healthy lifestyles, support sports, and activate urban destinations by offering enriching experiences for residents and visitors alike.
CED Sportival Brings Together Four Professional Sports Competitions
Through this event, City Edge aims to solidify New Alamein City’s position as a vibrant, year-round destination by integrating sports, entertainment, and lifestyle offerings. By hosting prominent national and athletic events, the company actively drives foot traffic and visitor engagement in the city. The second edition brings together four professional sports disciplines, starting with The Clash Beach Volleyball Championship, alongside a Shooting Challenge, a CrossFit Challenge, and Badminton competitions.
Aligning with Egypt hosting the 2026 BWF World Junior Badminton Championships, CED Sportival will feature interactive badminton activities led by specialized coaches. These sessions aim to raise awareness, engage audiences of all ages, and offer hands-on opportunities to discover the sport.
Designed as an all-inclusive experience blending competition, adrenaline, and entertainment, CED Sportival targets athletes, youth, families, and sports enthusiasts. Up Next is managing the overall organization of the event, while The Clash Beach Volleyball Championship is held in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the second consecutive year. Additionally, Romah is organizing the Shooting Challenge, and Fitness Factory is overseeing the CrossFit competitions.
Eng. Tamer Nasser, CEO of City Edge Developments, stated:
”We are thrilled to launch the second edition of CED Sportival in New Alamein City and to continue our fruitful partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the second year running. We also deeply appreciate the ongoing support from the Ministry of Housing, Utilities & Urban Communities, the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), and the New Alamein City Development Authority. Their support is instrumental in our mission to invigorate the city and position it as a premier Egyptian destination. The success of these events is a direct result of strong public-private partnerships that enable us to deliver more impactful, diverse experiences.”
He added:
”At City Edge, we view urban development as something that extends far beyond constructing buildings—it is about creating thriving communities and spaces that combine entertainment, sports, and social connection. CED Sportival embodies this vision. By featuring beach volleyball, shooting, CrossFit, and interactive badminton, we cater to diverse interests and highlight New Alamein City’s potential as a dynamic, year-round hub rather than just a summer escape.”

By curating a rich lineup of events, the company enhances quality of life and supports Egypt’s vision of building sustainable, modern cities capable of attracting investment, tourism, and lifestyle seekers all year long.
