Code Development has signed a partnership agreement with the New Urban Communities Authority and the Tourist Villages Authority to renovate and operate the Roman Theatre in Marina, North Coast, along with its adjoining hotel, restaurants, and a private beach for the company’s clients, Invest-Gate reports.
The initiative aligns with Code Development’s strategy to enhance tourism and entertainment services while progressing with construction on its flagship North Coast project, North Code.
Mohamed Gamal, founder of Code Development, highlighted the Roman Theatre’s historical and architectural significance, making it a prime venue for cultural and artistic events. “The theatre is one of Marina’s most iconic landmarks, blending historical charm with modern tourism potential,” he said.
The redevelopment is scheduled for completion by summer 2025, offering an upgraded entertainment and hospitality experience. “Our goal is to create a unique blend of heritage and modern luxury, boosting tourism and elevating service quality for visitors,” Gamal added.
Said Eissa, co-founder of Code Development, emphasized that the partnership with the government reflects the company’s commitment to supporting Egypt’s tourism and real estate sectors. “This collaboration will attract more visitors to Marina and enhance local tourism offerings,” he said.
Code Development has established itself as a leading real estate developer in Egypt, delivering projects that combine luxury, sustainability, and contemporary design. The Marina redevelopment is part of its broader expansion strategy, focusing on high-end tourism and leisure projects.
One of the company’s flagship developments is North Code, a premium North Coast destination featuring state-of-the-art designs and comprehensive services catering to luxury seekers. The second phase of the project is set to launch in the upcoming summer season.
In addition, Code Development is finalizing permits for its projects in Sheikh Zayed City, ensuring full regulatory compliance before launching new developments.
