Construction & Housing Company implements a number of water and sewage projects in Kafr El-Sheikh and Marsa Matrouh at a total investment cost of EGP 700 mn, Invest-Gate reports.
Head of the Construction & Housing Company for Utilities Sayed Al-Ashry states that the company has started implementing a number of water and Sewage projects in Kafr El-Sheikh and Marsa Matrouh at EGP 700 mn of investments as part of “Hayah Karima” initiative.
The ongoing projects include three treatment plants at a cost of EGP 200 mn in Kafr El-Sheikh, with a capacity of 15,000 m3/day. The company is implementing a number of water and sewage projects at a cost of EGP 500 mn in Sidi Barani, El Negeila and Salloum, in Marsa Matrouh.
Al Ashry further elaborates that coordination is underway with the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) regarding carrying out a group of other new projects in the second phase of the “Hayah Karima ” initiative. Moreover, Al Ashry is to meet Assem El Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, next week to further discuss these projects.
“The company is following up on the contracting companies which are responsible for implementing these projects. Work is also around the clock to achieve the targeted results,” he comments
Regarding the implementation status of the “Hayah Karima” projects, Al Ashry remarks that they have achieved high implementation rates in the first phase, pointing out that the political leadership is keen on completing all planned projects in a record time.
