Cairo governorate is preparing to offer tenders for infrastructure and utility work next month, Al Borsa reported.

Offered specifically to contraction companies, the tendered projects will span over 250 acres to include services, commercial, and social housing in the southern region of Cairo.

“The offered tenders are part of the strategic plan to serve the southern region and the residential  projects implemented for unsafe areas in the governorate,” said Hany Shenyshen, Head of Cairo’s Housing Directorate.

The area is divided into five plots of varying sizes to establish shopping malls and an integrated services complex. In addition, 30 acres of land will be earmarked for the social housing project, with an estimated cost of EGP 85 million for utility work, added Shenyshen
