Cornerstone Development Contracts YBA for Sustainable Mall Project in New Capital

Real estate developer Cornerstone Development hires Yasser Al Beltagy Architects (YBA) to provide engineering consultations for the project its second project in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) called The Terraces, Invest-Gate reports.

Cornerstone Development contracts a specialized architectural consulting office in New York, United States of America, to come up with the project designs.

The Terraces will be the newest commercial administrative mall that achieves 100% sustainability standards, says Cornerstone Development Chairperson and Managing Director Eng. Ashraf Boulos.

The company seeks to introduce modern architectural concepts from abroad to the Egyptian market while achieving sustainability, environmental preservation, and creating a healthy community.

The Terraces will include administrative offices, clinics and commercial stores across four floors to cater to different customer needs. Spacious terraces for offices will overlook green areas, allowing tenants to enjoy sunlight and fresh air.

Each floor will provide over 250 square meters of co-working spaces, meeting rooms, fitness areas and social spaces.

Boulos notes that the company focuses on sustainability and customer needs in its designs. Sustainable materials will ensure buildings can stand for over 100 years.

Cornerstone is working with leading Egyptian and international consultants to implement innovative, international designs honouring Egyptian culture. ACE Moharram.Bakhoum will supervise construction and ensure quality.

Regarding the company’s first NAC project The Curve, Boulos says over 70% is complete, and delivery of units will begin in early-to-mid 2025 after full completion in 2024.

Located on the Green River next to key landmarks, The Curve residential compound sold out its 540 units inspired by New York architecture.

The Terraces aims to bring a sustainable, modern mixed-use project respecting local heritage to the growing New Administrative Capital.
