The Middle East unit of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) was awarded a management facility deal for the Kuwaiti education city project, Sabah Al Salem University City, worth KWD 175 million ($ 580 million), Trade Arabia reported.
The contract signed with the Kuwaiti government states that the firm will be responsible for the construction, operation and maintenance of the administration facilities at the project at Kuwait University.
Sabah Al Salem University City is planned to have one of the biggest campuses in the world, with world class facilities and advanced educational resources.
The project will include seven uniquely shaped buildings of the administration wing, cultural center, convocation hall, conference center, university library, visitor center and a grand mosque.
The administration facilities will be the main gateway to the university, while the perimeter will include a tranquil gardenesque living and studying environment, Al Bawaba reported.
